Hunter S. Thompson has been a huge influence in my life. His teachings have been both a comfort in life and also, at times, a discomfort. He saw the world as it was and wasn't afraid to call it out.
Kingdom of Fear remains my favourite of his books. The lessons within speak volumes of a life lived hard and fully.
Hell's Angels is an incredible journey through the lives of, what was at the time and may very well still be, a feared motorcycle club. The conclusion of their time together, especially when paired with the interview on CBC from 1967 is absolutely wild. The fact that the audience are in agreement with the biker is madness. But I doubt much has changed there.

If you don't understand the father of Gonzo, then I fear you don't understand the world.
